Savannah, Georgia

Savannah, Georgia, is a picturesque city full of character. Savannah was America’s first planned city, so it holds a lot of history. You can take a walk along the city’s cobblestone streets, take pictures of its oak trees covered with Spanish moss, or visit many of its historic buildings.

Thor’s Well, Oregon

Yachats Orgeon describes Thor’s Well, “Sitting on the edge of the Oregon coast near Cape Perpetua, a gaping, seemingly bottomless sinkhole swallows the unbroken stream of seawater around it.” As with all sinkholes, Thor’s Well is very dangerous, so avoid entering the water. For best viewing, attend during high tide.

Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada

The lake itself offers beautiful views of the clear water with mountains in the background. Some of those mountains offer great skiing facilities in the winter.

Dry Tortugas National Park, Florida

This national park offers a level of uniqueness compared to others. It lies around 70 miles west of Key West and is only accessible via boat or seaplane. The park offers a great opportunity to bird watch with many different inhabitants on the island. It also offers some of the best snorkelling in the U.S.

Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska

This national park is massive, consisting of over 3.3 million acres. It offers incredible 360-degree views of mountains, glaciers, and fjords. It isn’t just the landscape you can view; you might be lucky to spot some of its wildlife as well. Animals spotted by previous tourists include humpback whales and sea otters.
