Though cuteness is often in the eye of the beholder, there are certain animals that almost everyone finds irresistibly adorable. While it’s a challenge to rank them, we’ve gathered some of the world’s cutest creatures for you to enjoy.

Quokka

If you haven’t heard of the quokka, it’s about time you did. These adorable little marsupials have been called the “world’s happiest animals” because it looks like they are always smiling. They also have a friendly and curious nature, adding to their adorable appeal.

Pomeranian

We’re getting a little closer to home with our next entry. In our opinion, Pomeranians are one of the most adorable domestic dog breeds on the market, with cute fluffy coats and playful, lively personalities. They are known for their sweet, foxlike faces and expressive eyes.

Red Panda

When it comes to cuteness, red pandas have it all: fluffy tails, beautifully striking markings, and the sweetest little faces. According to the WWF, red pandas are native to forests in the Himalayas and are also known for being sweet and gentle by nature.

Sea otters are famous for their adorable tendency to hold hands with one another, which helps to prevent them from drifting apart while floating. Their appearance is equally as cute, with incredibly thick brown fur and sweet little faces.
